QUT Smart Train and APN Newspapers Student Poster Competition
What do you think is good for people, good for the planet?
Put your ideas in front of visitors to the QUT Smart Train and in your local newspaper!
APN Newspapers and the QUT Smart Train invite students to design a poster to show what they think is meant by the theme "good for people, good for the planet".
The QUT Smart Train Poster Competition provides an avenue for school children to explore and express their thoughts and ideas on innovation, their community, emerging technologies and how it will affect their future. Science and innovation can be fun and exciting and underpins all of modern society's activities. Where would we be today without antibiotics, electricity and computers which were all developed through science? It is deeply embedded in our social framework and impacts greatly on our everyday lives.
Competition details
our A4-sized poster entry should demonstrate how a particular innovation or innovative idea is "good for people, good for the planet". The options are endless. Your entry might show how science and innovation help people become fitter and healthier; make life easier and more convenient; or achieve work life balance. Perhaps you could focus on the benefits for our planet - reducing landfill; restoring soil; or using less fuel, water or harmful household appliances/chemicals. Your chosen theme could be as complex as protecting the ozone layer or as simple as recycling, reusing and conserving to enhance your local area.
