** Please read carefully before making a booking

  1. All school groups who wish to visit the QUT Smart Train must make a prior booking.
  2. Groups should arrive at the QUT Smart Train as close to the time booked as possible to avoid long delays in gaining access to the Train.
  3. Very large student groups may have to be broken up into smaller groups in order to have orderly and timely access to the Train.
  4. The length of each train visit will be approximately 1 hour.
  5. There will be some platform activities to view while school groups are waiting to be admitted to the QUT Smart Train however, teachers must be aware that there may be some waiting before admittance particularly for large groups.
  6. School teachers must remain in control of and responsible for their students at all times.
  7. In order to give students a more valuable and comprehensive educational experience of the Train, a worksheet with discussion questions and activities will be available for download from the Train website for you to use in classes prior to the visit. These worksheets will be available in January/February.
  8. Please be aware that due to the popularity of the Train it may not be possible to accommodate all schools which wish to visit. The displays are targeted at upper primary and lower secondary school students and therefore preference will be given in the first instance to these categories.
  9. If you need to cancel a booking please advise us as soon as possible so that we may book someone else into that timeslot.
  10. Please advise if you have students with disabilities (i.e. wheelchair etc) as we will need to ensure access and facilities are made available.
